Wags Links Tour 2022
Safely back from our fifth Norfolk Tour, having enjoyed three rounds of golf in bright sunshine on the coast.
Day one Sunday
After lunch we played the much improved Heacham Manor Hotel course before returning for dinner at the hotel.
Day two Monday
We were at Royal Cromer for our main competition, a singles stableford for the Wags Links Trophy. Cromer never disappoints, a wonderful golf course with far reaching views out to sea.
Our worthy winner with a great score of 39 points was Malcolm Smith, congratulations to Malcolm. Second with another great score was Tim Warren with 37 points, third place went to David Richmond with 36 points.
Day three Tuesday
Sheringham, another fantastic links course which we thoroughly enjoyed. We were met on the first tee by the starter who was happy to give us all the info needed to enjoy our golf there.
Both Sheringham and Royal Cromer are great favourites with us all and this year was exceptional with great weather and the friendly welcome from both clubs.
All in all it was probably our most successful tour so far. I thank you all for your support this year and heartfelt thanks to my team, Roy Davis, David Morgan, Geoff Worsfold and Tom Ramage, good friends who do so much for me in helping to make the Tour such a success.
Once again my thanks to all, particularly for the very kind gift you gave to me.
Will we do it again next year? I sincerely hope so.
Best wishes,
Steve
