Links Tour 2018
We’ve just returned from our first Wags Links Tour, three days and three golf courses in Norfolk with great weather and fantastic golf venues.
Starting with Heacham Manor on the first day, playing golf in the afternoon, giving us all a good appetite for dinner in their excellent Mulberry restaurant, followed by a great meal and a few glasses of wine.
Our second day at Sheringham Golf Club was thoroughly enjoyed by all, a great golf course which proved to be very popular with us all, returning in the evening for dinner at Heacham Manor Hotel.
Our final day was at Hunstanton Golf Club, a top links course which we played against a brisk northerly wind, making it a stern test of golf for us all. a superb course thoroughly enjoyed by us all.
Our worthy winner over the three days was Yuki Miyakawa, playing superb golf in testing conditions. Congratulations to Yuki from us all.
We returned for dinner to the Heacham Manor Hotel for another excellent dinner, followed by the presentation of prizes (see P.S. below).
A superb tour for the Wags thoroughly enjoyed by all. Great food and accommodation at Heacham Manor Hotel. All in all a very successful trip for the WAGS. The camaraderie amongst the group was second to none. Surely we can all look forward to next years Wags tour together.
Post script:All those who took part in this first Wags Links Tour wish to thank Steve for his hard work in making the event the success that it was. Please see photographs below.
A full list of prize winners will be posted in due course, when the score cards can be retrieved from the winner of the main event, who inadvertently took them home with him, unnoticed by Steve who confesses he had enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine during the epicurean meal which might have relaxed his memory too much!
The fine wines for the dinners were selected by the Wags sommelier, Graham Robertson – thanks Graham.
Thanks are also due to Adrian Paterson for providing us with a large quantity of Pippin’s balls, which were not only much appreciated, but essential by the time we played at Hunstanton in the wind!
